Clean up, demo and renovations have begun at our new shelter location.
Instructors and students from the Cornell Shelter Management program came out one Friday and helped us. Here are some photos.

Saturday/Sunday - October 29 and 30, 2011
So much work got done. The dark panelling was primed and in some cases got 2 coats. The entry room, which had burgundy walls, was also primed and looks so much more inviting! Thanks again to all of the wonderful folks who showed up and helped.

Another view of the kitchen, looking towards the sun room. We are going to have to remove most of the sunroom because it encroaches on DEC land. But - we'll at least be able to reuse the windows.

We had a wonderful volunteer turnout and look at the transformation of the front of the main building:
