Adopted Kitties

We want to encourage everyone to consider adopting our adult cats (especially during kitten season) and to promote kitten adoptions so the kittens won’t be with us long enough to grow into adult cats.  Please help us make room for all the others waiting to come through our doors.

We need more volunteers to help us showcase our cats and kittens at the Ithaca PetsMart store.  If you can spare a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday, please leave a message on our answering machine and our volunteer coordinator will get back to you.  594.2255

Cat of the Week: Emilio

Emilio

Please also check out our Dog of the Week

Want a cat that's more like a dog?! I walk on a leash! I LOVE people. I like DOGS and KIDS! I'm very playful. I'm very, very cuddly – totally a lap cat. I want to be where you are. See more videos of me at: http://EverybodyLovesEmilio.WordPress.Com

More about me: It was a rare opportunity to catch this lively little guy at rest for his photo. He is usually racing around the room or cuddled into someone’s neck. He is a true bundle of energy and would do well in a home with twin 8 year old boys to keep up with him. Emilio loves to play with friendly dogs.

Emilio came to us as a stray – his face thoroughly encrusted with nasal discharge, full of ear mites, and with a severe head tilt. With lots of TLC, Emilio has blossomed into a handsome strapping young man, with only a hint of the slightest head tilt on occasion. And he has the most gorgeous markings – at first glance he appears to be a lovely charcoal gray, but on closer look he has yet darker gray stripes on his tail and even more subtle coloration over the rest of his body.

This little guy is sure to fill your home and heart with love and laughter! You should see him stand on his hind legs and open drawers! He has only the slightest little head tilt remaining - it makes him look winsome and inquisitive. Emilio has tested negative for FeLV. Emilio tested positive for FIV so it would be best if he is an only cat, or can share a house with other FIV positive cats and again he loves dogs!

Check out his latest YouTube Video.

He has been neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper and has been treated for fleas and worms.

Due to increasing medical costs we have found it necessary to increase our adoption fees.  These fees help to offset the costs we incur in readying an animal for adoption but often do not cover all the care and medical costs.   Here's a chart that shows you what it could cost you to adopt a 'free to a good home' cat/kitten.

All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia, vaccinated for rabies and distemper and have been treated, if necessary, for fleas and parasites.

Please contact us if you're interested in meeting him or any of our other cats and kittens.  You can also visit some of our other cats and kittens at the PetSmart stores in Ithaca and Horseheads.

Please contact us TODAY.  Call us at 607.594.2255 and leave a message or send us an email.

Cat Adoption Application

Processing Adoption Applications

We time stamp all applications as they come in in order to be fair.  If we receive several applications for the same animal, the first one we receive will be processed first and we will notify all other applicants that they are on a waiting list for that particular animal.

Once an application is received we expect people to make every reasonable effort to visit the cat/kitten within three days or to discuss other arrangements.

MS Word Version: Download to your PC, fill it in and email it to us.

PDF Version: Download to your PC, fill it in and mail it back to us.

He's been adopted!  This video was shot during one of our spay/neuter clinics. Can you tell we spoil our kitties?  Buttons is in residence at our clinic facilty and normally runs free, but during clinic days we had to confine him to a crate and he's so good-natured about it.  He loves belly rubs, head rubs, chin rubs and is such a wonderful cat.
