WETM: New Animal Shelter Opens
$25 Adoption Fee For Cats Over 1 Year Old
Limited time only
We are lowering our adoption fees for a limited amount of time on cats over 1 year old. The new fee is $25.00 so if you've been thinking of adopting, now is the time to call us or visit our cat shelter Monday, Wed and Friday between 9 and noon or Saturdays from 10 - 1 p.m. to meet some of our adult cats.
We will be expanding our adoption hours from May 3rd to
end-October to include:
Thursday nights from 5 to 7 p.m.
Sunday afternoons from 3 - 5 p.m.
Photos of our kittens - ready for adoption
We still have some cats/kittens in foster care so please call us to set up an appointment to meet them if you can't make it on a Saturday.
Our adoption fee for kittens for the month of September is $25.00. Same for adults.
We want to encourage everyone to consider adopting our adult cats (especially during kitten season) and to promote kitten adoptions so the kittens won’t be with us long enough to grow into adult cats. Please help us make room for all the others waiting to come through our doors.
We need more volunteers to help us showcase our cats and kittens at the Ithaca PetsMart store. If you can spare a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday, please leave a message on our answering machine and our volunteer coordinator will get back to you. 594.2255
Kittens of the Week: :
Roxie and Rascal
Meet Roxie & Rascal! This dynamic sibling duo is sweet and playful. They are like 2 peas in a pod. They do everything together. Good with kids and friendly dogs!
Roxie & Rascal are about 5 months old and tested negative for FeLV.
Please also check out our Dog of the Week
Due to increasing medical costs we have found it necessary to increase our adoption fees. These fees help to offset the costs we incur in readying an animal for adoption but often do not cover all the care and medical costs. Here's a chart that shows you what it could cost you to adopt a 'free to a good home' cat/kitten.
All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia, vaccinated for rabies and distemper and have been treated, if necessary, for fleas and parasites.
Please contact us if you're interested in meeting them or any of our other cats and kittens.
Please contact us TODAY. Call us at 607.594.2255 and leave a message or send us an email.

Cat Adoption Application
Processing Adoption Applications
We time stamp all applications as they come in in order to be fair. If we receive several applications for the same animal, the first one we receive will be processed first and we will notify all other applicants that they are on a waiting list for that particular animal.
Once an application is received we expect people to make every reasonable effort to visit the cat/kitten within three days or to discuss other arrangements.
